Swimmers wanted - Sea swim from Gosport (Portsmouth) to Ryde Sands (Isle of Wight) August 25 2012.
We are looking for some extra swimmers to join a 2.4 mile sea swim to the Isle of Wight at 8am on August 25 2012. Safety cover for the swim is being provided by Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards. A £150 contribution would be needed to cover safety costs. We are all fundraising for different charities. If you are interested please PM me.

As per your excellent suggestion Pandi, I have edited Josie's post and asked interested parties to PM her as I think you are right and she could have problems with spammers etc...
Thanks Pandi

The £150 is a bit discouraging.

Agree Spidey.Even more so,seeing it is for a organised?(link would help) swim at fairly short notice, compared to most other swims. The bonus side IMHO is, swims to the IOW dont happen that often.Main reason, getting enough people together and being able to afford the costs of safety cover as a group swim, before any other action can be taken. The ony semi-regular one thats springs to mind is,a swim over to join the IOW festival and, from memory.thats been a bit of a hit & miss over the years.
